22-year-old female presents with flu like symptoms and has a normal CXR

3 weeks later a chest CT shows extensive diffuse bilateral micronodular military disease associated with mediastinal lymphadenopathy, and hepatosplenomegaly.

22-year-old female presents with flu like symptoms. 3 weeks later a chest CT shows a cavitating nodule in the left upper lobe, and extensive diffuse bilateral micronodular miliary disease.

A week later she was admitted to the ICU with confluent pneumonic infiltrates with air bronchograms in the lower lobes.

ACUTE PULMONARY HISTOPLASMOSIS – PNEUMONIA
22-year-old female presented with flu like symptoms 1 week prior had a CT that showed extensive diffuse bilateral micronodular miliary disease associated with mediastinal lymphadenopathy, and hepatosplenomegaly.

1 Week later her CXR showed mild improvement in the infiltrate and miliary disease

ACUTE PULMONARY HISTOPLASMOSIS – 1 WEEK LATER
22-year-old female presents with flu like symptoms with acute diffuse miliary histoplasmosis, was admitted to ICU. This X-ray taken 1 week after the last shows mild improvement of confluent pneumonic infiltrates and improving miliary disease.
