Interval enlargement of the right paratracheal stripe. Underlying adenopathy is not excluded. CT of the thorax with intravenous contrast is recommended for further evaluation.

Large pretracheal lymph node which causes severe narrowing of the
azygos vein and encases the right upper lobe pulmonary artery. Soft
tissue density extends along the right mainstem bronchus into the
right hilum and this enlarged lymph node exerts mass effect or
possibly invades the right mainstem bronchus.

FRAGMENTS OF SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA

PET scan shows endobronchial mass within the
right mainstem bronchus with intense FDG uptake, corresponding to
biopsy-proven squamous cell carcinoma.
