ETT in Right Mainstem Bronchus Complicated by left Lobar Collapse
82-year-old female s/p intubation presents for CXR to evaluate position of the endotracheal tube (ETT) check. CXR shows “white out” of the left hemithorax with leftward cardio-mediastinal shift. The ETT lies within the right main stem bronchus

82-year-old female s/p intubation for endotracheal tube (ETT) check. CXR 2 hours prior showed “white out” of the left hemithorax with misplaced ETT which was in the right main and causing obstruction of the left main. This CXR performed 2 hour later, following repositioning of the tube, shows persistent malpositioning of the ETT which remains in the right mainstem bronchus (white arrowhead). However there is re-expansion of the left upper lung field but persistent opacification of the left lower lobe

82-year-old female presenting 24 hours post repositioning of a misplaced ETT. The endotracheal tube has been removed indicating improved pulmonary status. There is mild to moderate CHF and bilateral silhouetting of the hemidiaphragms relating to basilar infiltrates or effusions. The left upper lobe remains well aerated
