SEGMENT OF LUNG PARENCHYMA WITH FOCAL CONSOLIDATION OF AIRSPACES BY A MIXTURE OF MACROPHAGES, CHRONIC INFLAMMATORY CELLS, MOSTLY LYMPHOCYTES, PRESENT IN AGGREGATES AS WELL AS SINGLY AND WITH PROMINENT TYPE-II PNEUMOCYTES.
NO GRANULOMAS, VASCULITIS OR TUMOR SEEN.
B. RIGHT MIDDLE LOBE:
SEGMENT OF LUNG PARENCHYMA WITH CHANGES SIMILAR TO PART-A, BUT WITH FOCAL EARLY INTERSTITIAL FIBROSIS AND DISTORTION OF TERMINAL BRONCHIOLES.
NO GRANULOMA OR TUMOR SEEN.
NOTE: THE FINDINGS ARE CONSISTENT WITH ORGANIZING PNEUMONIA (COP). CORRELATION WITH HRCT AND CLINICAL SETTING REQUIRED.
